RACING IN QUIRINDI
The Quirindi racecourse is located on Wallabadah Road in Quirindi and is the show course of country races. Since 1946 the Quirindi Jockey Club has organised all the race meets and features starts for 1000m races to 2000m races.
The Quirindi races are a fantastic source of entertainment. The Quirindi Racecourse and the Quirindi Jockey Club feature a range of race meetings throughout the year including the famous Boxing Day Races, attracting thousands of people from around the area, as well as the Quirindi, Willow Tree and Murrurundi Cups.

Quirindi is located a short distance off the New England Highway, 50 minutes from Tamworth. Quirindi is the ‘Gateway to the Northwest’ with the Kamilaroi Highway commencing in the township and ending at Bourke.
From Sydney, get on the F3 freeway and head north following the signs for Newcastle and then follow the New England Highway to Willow Tree, turn left onto Kamilaroi Highway (approx. 4 hours).
From Brisbane, head West towards Ipswich, then via the Cunningham Highway to Warwick. At Warwick, follow the New England Highway south to Tamworth and then to Quirindi (approx. 8 hours).
NSW TrainLink offers commuter rail services to Quirindi on a daily basis. Tamworth Airport has a daily air service to Sydney and Brisbane.
